2.1 Compass Forest School Vol. 2

What’s going on my friend! I want to re-welcome you too this blog.
My very first article of Volume 2. It’s been a while.
I’m super excited to have you here with me, thank you so much for choosing and taking the time to read (or listen) my words.
If by chance you’re picking up this blog article for the first time ever today, over the last 20 months or so this blog has been called Eco Ed Forest School.
As you may have guessed by now, no longer. So please, don’t get confused if you go back to Volume 1 for a read.

Don’t get me wrong, Volume 1 was great — but, 2. Well Volume 2 is going to be simply epic! Not only because my business name has changed…
But because I’ll be sharing my most up to date understanding of what Forest School is all about, why it works and how it helps families flourish, right here.
Thoughts which, truthfully, have been through a hundred or so iterations in my mind since I pressed ‘Publish’ on the previous 120 or so posts.
And instead of condemning all those hours of previous research and typing to the scrapheap, I thought why not openly show you how my ideas and understanding have developed.
Allowing you to see where my head is at in this ‘season’ of my life and in some way take one small step towards earning the thing I value most from you- your trust.
The blogs main purpose, as it always has been, is to break down the often big, complex concepts and confusing language that surround Forest School into simple explanations for you.
So that you can finally get a grip on Forest School and why it sparks so much energy in peoples lives, in an amount of time every parent can afford and all in one place.
That’s really the ultimate game plan for the blog going forward. Each one of Volume 2 should take approximately 5 minutes of your day… sometimes more if you binge read like me!
But in general 5 minutes, done and dusted so you get on with your jam packed days.
I’ll be publishing two blogs each week on a Tuesday and Thursday.
In those 10 minutes a week I’m hoping you’ll uncover something neat, tell all your friends about Forest School and me…
Then immediately want to get your family involved in your local Forest School. How does that sound? Amazing, right!
Now before I completely skip this bit you might be wondering who the heck is this guy talking to me about Forest School, right!
Well super briefly I’m Mark, a former early years teacher turned Forest School geek.
I run Compass Forest School based in Manchester, England for those of you who live in far flung countries to me.

How I got into this whole world is something I’m going to touch on over the next few posts for you, but it is something that has changed my life.
Each and every day I get to live my dream, which is pretty incredible and still blows my mind!
In all honesty, I hope you’re living yours too.
If not then you should definitely get yourself into the Forest School world and do my job, you wont ever look back when you start your journey.
I hope you enjoyed the blog of Volume 2. Number 1, nearly done.
I appreciate you for taking the time out of your day to read my thoughts. See you on the next one.
To your success.
Mark x
